At Parallel, we build AI agents to help healthcare facilities automate their administrative processes, starting with medical coding.

Today, up to 25% of healthcare spending is lost in manual, repetitive administrative work. Legacy software hasn’t helped, it’s made things slower, more complex, and more frustrating for care teams.

Hiring a Founding Designer

At Parallel, we’re reimagining healthcare workflows with powerful AI tools — and thoughtful design is at the heart of it. We’re now hiring our first in-house Founding Designer to craft intuitive, elegant experiences that impact real-world care delivery. We’re looking for our first in-house Founding Designer to lead design efforts.

You’ll own both product design and brand, working from first user flows to final UI, and from visual identity to go-to-market assets. This is a hands-on role with real impact.

You’ll work closely with the founders, engineers, and early users to build clear, useful, and trustworthy experiences in a space where good design truly matters.

Mission

As our Founding Designer, you will:

• Design our core product used by doctors, admin teams, and internal operators.
• Create and maintain a simple, effective design system.
• Work closely with the CTO and engineers to ship polished, production-ready interfaces.
• Guide product decisions with a focus on usability, making complex AI workflows easy to use
• Own the brand across all channels — product, website, decks, and more.
• Create go-to-market assets as needed: slides, visuals, one-pagers, and social content.

You’ll thrive in this role if you love full ownership and variety — one week shaping core product experiences, the next crafting our presence at a major conference or evolving how we tell our story on our website.
